Any traumatic event we experience is experienced in the body as well as the mind. If our nervous system does not get the chance to find calm and safety, our bodies find it hard to discharge the energy that trauma ignites. This approach works with trauma from a body first perspective, involving somatic practices and gentle holding to address the trauma from a calm and safe state. We can work with:
